BRITNEY SPEARSK-FED'S MAKING A SHAMELESS MONEY GRAB

 3/19/2018 1:00 A
EXCLUSIVE
Britney Spears' dad, Jamie, is super upset at Kevin Federline, who called him pleading for more child support when, in fact, all he wants is to jump on her gravy train.
Sources connected to Britney tell TMZ, last Friday K-Fed called Jamie and said he was in a financial bind and wanted to talk about raising his child support. TMZ broke the story K-Fed has been pulling in $20k a month for child support for years, but he now says it's not enough.
We're told Jamie was suspicious and asked Kevin where the $20k was going, but Kevin hedged.
Our sources say, last week, Jamie got a letter from Kevin's lawyer, asking him if they could sit down and talk. They did indeed have a talk, and we're told the lawyer explained now that 12-year-old Sean and 11-year-old Jayden have gotten older, Kevin needed more than $20k.

Our sources say the lawyer repeatedly talked about Britney's recent successes -- particularly her sold-out Vegas shows -- saying she was making a lot more money. We're told Jamie kept pushing back, saying Britney's success has nothing to do with the needs of the children, and his daughter wasn't responsible for taking care of Kevin and his other families.

We're told Kevin and his lawyer never named a figure and never gave a single example of the children's unmet needs.

Ugadi fervour: Pachadi items flood city markets

Image result for ugadi 2018

“The price of the ‘pachadi’ ingredients are increasing with every passing year. While raw mango was available for about ?15 last year, this year the price has almost doubled. Same is the case with other ingredients,” said Varalakshmi V, a reveller.

Ugadi pachadi-- a preparation signifying ‘Shadruchulu’ or all the six tastes – sweet, sour, salty, bitter, hot as well as tangy is the most important dish of the festival. It serves as a reminder to

people about the various kinds of experiences that life offers.

“All the ingredients used in the pachadi should be new and not the ones used in the house on daily basis. That is the reason why the prices are hiked a little bit on the eve of the festival,” said Ramu M, who owns a provisional store in the Cyberabadarea.

The pachadi apart, other traditional delicacies like mamidakaya pulihora (raw mango rice) and bobbatlu or bakshalu, a sweet dish, are some of the must-haves prepared for Ugadi or Yugadi which marks the beginning of an era. The 2018 Telugu New Year is called Sri Vilambi Nama Samvatsaram.

While sharing their plans for the festival, most residents said that they would spend the day at home with their families, cleaning the house, preparing traditional meals and offering prayers in a bid to begin the New Year on a positive note. In the evening, many said, they will visit to the temple for Panchanga shravanam (recital of astrology prediction) to know what’s in store for them for the upcoming year.

Calipari: Why wouldn’t Nick Richards play with effort like Jarred Vanderbilt does?

NIck Richards (Vicky Graff Photo)
What would it take to get freshman center Nick Richards playing the way many expected him to this year instead of struggling to even get meaningful minutes?
Kentucky coach John Calipari said Friday if Richards would play as hard as freshman teammate Jarred Vanderbilt, that likely would do it.
Calipari said that would make Richards “really good” and could turn him into a top-five draft pick.
“So my question is, why won’t you do that? You know what Jarred said? ‘It’s really hard.’ It’s hard. You don’t have to make a shot. How about the kid (Richards) can shoot, he can make free throws, he’s a good shot blocker,” Calipari said.
“Play as hard as he (Vanderbilt) plays. ‘Well, um, OK.’ And we’re trying, but he’s young. He’s just learning. He’s never been through this. He’s been – like I’m telling him as much as anybody, ‘You’ve got to conquer you first, kid.’ Most of these kids, when they think they are done, they’ve got 40 percent left in the tank. Forty percent.
Kentucky plays Florida today at noon. The Cats have won four straight games to get back into the national rankings and can clinch a No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament with a win.

“If Jarred and PJ and even Wenyen, and they’re really playing well, even if Sacha and Nick are playing well, their minutes are probably going to …,” Calipari said. “OK, even if your minutes go down, what are you going to do with your minutes? Are you going to blame somebody? Are you going to have an excuse? Are you going to already build it in? Or are you going to go in on your time and say, ‘No, no, I’m earning more minutes and I’m going to make one of these guys sit.’
“Because if he were playing that way, one of those other guys ain’t getting as many minutes. But I’ve said that to him. Again, you conquer yourself or you’re trying to blame somebody. This stuff is – it’s more than just basketball with what I have to do here with young guys.”

Since my dad is in the Army, we are used to travel a lot and rarely could spend time with the entire extended family; we used to consider it a privilege. So, my favourite Holi celebration would be about 12 years ago when the entire family was together in Delhi. My uncle, aunt, all our cousins were at the same place and we had a ball of a time. We started playing Holi early that year, but with dry colours. The fun moments were running behind elders to smear them in colour, while they tried to hide from us. By lunch time we cleaned ourselves to enjoy a lavish lunch followed by a nice musical evening at our lawn. As a kid, I loved the idea of water balloons. This might sound very evil but throwing them in the neighbour’s balcony or on people walking down the road was great fun. Sometimes it used to bring trouble upon us when someone spotted us. I quit throwing balloons because once I ended up throwing it at a man who actually created a scene.
I grew up with a lot of cousins and Holi was a big festival for us. We used to play from morning till evening and eat like there is no tomorrow. I remember this one time, we went to my dad’s elder sister’s house for Holi and she has three kids, all elder to me. One of them is [actor] Zeeshan Ayyub (of Ranjhana and Tanu Weds Manu fame) and after we played Holi and messed her entire courtyard, she fed us a big happy fat meal, waited for us to finish food and when we went back inside, she was waiting with buckets of water and cleaning agents. She said ‘you guys messed up my courtyard, so you’ll clean it up!” We huffed and puffed and started cleaning. It took us all evening but we realised we had so much fun doing that together. So, the lesson learnt is that you can mess up and have fun, but only you will have to clean up after!
My best childhood memories of Holi go back to when I was back home in Amritsar. We would actually start our Holi celebrations a week in advance with my friends and cousins, where we would go all out to make water balloons and throw them on people on the roads! Which was quite fun! And in school too, a day before Holi, we would all celebrate with lots of colour, water balloons and sweets! This year, I am going to be attending a few happening and fun Holi parties in around the city with Kanchi and a couple of friends, as we love celebrating the festival with some fun and glamour to it!
